PRODUCT DETAILS
Anaplasmosis is a tick-borne disease caused by the infectious bacterial organism Anaplasma phagocytophilum. It is transmitted through bites of the deer tick (also known as the black-legged tick) and western black-legged tick. Often causes lameness, joint pain, high fever, lethargy, and anorexia (lack of appetite), sometimes vomiting, diarrhea, seizure activity or coughing. In the majority of cases, symptoms improve rapidly if they are treated early.
Babesia infection can be caused by various species of these organisms, the disease is mainly transmitted by ticks. Babesiosis targets the animals red blood cells.
The main difference between Babesia Canis and Babesia Gibsoni is that B.Gibsoni cells are smaller, it's symptoms are more severe and it's more difficult to treat. Babesia canis is found in Europe and USA. Babesia gibsoni is present in Asia, North Africa and occasionally in North America and Europe. Babesiosis symptoms include: dark orange urine, fever, swollen lymph nodes, weakness and anemia.
If left untreated it could be fatal.
Ehrlichiosis is a tick-borne infectious disease of dogs, usually carried by the brown dog tick caused by Ehrlichia canis bacteria. Animals infected with E. canis may experience a combination of signs, including fever, lethargy, weight loss, lymphadenopathy, edema of the appendages, discharge from nose and eyes, and seizures. A long course of treatment, generally four weeks, is needed.
